International and Intersectional

Mother’s is the Kitchen facet of our operation. Presently, that takes shape as pop-ups, but will grow to include a cafe with baked goods and pastry, brunch, dinner theater, and collaborative tasting menus.

As a community that spans the globe, the LGBTQ+ community has no “cuisine” exactly. And as a space meant to encourage Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the blending and sharing of cultures, the food at Mother’s reflects that. We source ingredients and develop recipes from all corners of the globe, and blend them in sometimes unorthodox, sometimes campy, sometimes unhinged ways, while respecting their places and cultures of origin.

We do not claim to do anything traditionally. These are not always our cultures’ food, and we believe that the people who should make money through producing fully composed and culturally significant classics should be reserved for the people that belong to those cultures.
